MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO WINS MULTIPLE AWARDS

Our five-star stage adaptation of the celebrated 1988 Studio Ghibli animated feature film received five WhatsOnStage awards.

The landmark adaptation of My Neighbour Totoro was the recipient of five WhatsOnStage Awards in London on Sunday, leading as the most celebrated production at this year’s ceremony.

Voted for by the public, the awards recognise the skill and expertise of the cast and creative teams behind live, original UK productions whose performances began between November 2021 and November 2022.

The winners were:

• Best Musical Direction/Supervision – Bruce O’Neil and Matt Smith
• Best Lighting Design – Jessica Hung Han Yum
• Best Set Design – Tom Pye and Basil Twist
• Best Sound Design – Tony Gayle
